Alana Joy is a gifted South African born singer songwriter. A well-traveled musician having spent many years abroad on the Asian circuit, from Dubai, Bahrain to Jakarta and Bangkok, Alana has her brand of fiery energy and exotic looks, in step with her new home town of Miami Florida. Alana has just finished several songs for her first album which includes the remake of the 1973 hit song, "Why Can't We Live Together", recorded with the original artist Timmy Thomas. Her production team has also inked a promotion and distribution deal with the original producer of "Why Can't We Live Together" Henry Stone.www.henrystonemusic.com. Some of Henry's accolades include producing music for Ray Charles, Chubby Checker and The Twist, KC & the Sunshine Band, and James Brown, just to name a few. Alana along with Timmy Thomas have been chosen as spokespersons for Airline Ambassadors International in their fight against human trafficking and other social injustices that children face throughout the world. With the release of Alana's first record, there are plans for a tour starting in Europe. Alana was born in Cape Town, South Africa towards the end of Apartheid, and she experienced first-hand what miss guided governments can do innocent people. The government took away her parentsí home that was paid for in full, and moved them to shanty town, because her father was white, and her mother was African Indian. Instead of being bitter, Alana made it a point in her life to fight against the injustices that we all face along. She strengthens her resolve, along with Timmy Thomas, as spokespersons for Airline Ambassadors International.
